Not feelin the Wednesday vibe . . .

Morning everyone, how're you all doing?
I'm tired this morning, and really not feeling like going to work, working, or doing much of anything - I'm like a balloon that is slowly deflating lately... I need to somehow kick myself back into gear. However, I'm almost back to where I was weight wise before the long weekend - which means, if I hit the same weight tomorrow then I'm exactly where I was a week ago. In one way, I guess that's good. I always say it's better to maintain then gain. But common! I wanna loose the pounds.. not just sit at the same numbers for months at a time. (Not yet at least, if I was lets say 180ish or something like that I'd be filled with glee to maintain.)

I was reading this really cool book last night called "The Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes" which I've owned (or rather my Mom has, and I totally swiped it when I moved out - thanks Mom!) for years and years now. Anyway, I was just curious as I read it if everyone knows their animal and if you wouldn't mind sharing which you are?? If you want, I could even quote a little section to you for your animal and we could see if it rings true. I have to say though, almost everyone I've ever shared the book with.. it's bang on, even mine, for the most part. ~winks~

Speaking of Horoscopes, here's mine for today from The Toronto Sun:
Keep a secret and you will spare yourself trouble with someone you really like. Keep a lid on any information that may link you to a negative happening. A personal change you made in the past may be questioned or an old habit may tempt you. 3 stars

I'm not sure what the secret is, but I'll do my best to keep my mouth shut today. The old habit I believe I've got covered.. It's gross, so I'm not trying to make you guys cringe or anything. But I'm one of those people who used to chew their nails.. like.. until they hurt. Well, guess what I did last night - yep.. that's right. I just couldn't stop myself.. and I've been doing so well for years now with not doing it. (I think I only fell off the wagon one or two other times in years.) So, again in my opinion, this reading it pretty close to what's going on in my life.

Anyway, I think that's about all for now.
I'm trying to talk myself into doing the WATP video - but the 2 Mile... send some confidence my way guys so I actually do it tonight... eepp...

Luv,
Becca ~

Chocolate Mini Eggs, Yummy food.. dang.

First, here's my Horoscope..
Keep a lid on your plans so that no one will intervene. A problem with a partnership you are involved in will teach you a lesson if you aren't willing to say no. Be true to who you are and what you want. 3 stars

It still seems to be on the same topic I've been freaking and thinking about for months and months now.. and honestly, it seems to be ontop of what I'm feeling and thinking.. .again, I'm not going into too much detail here only because I don't really want to talk about it. But lets just say that the whole 'no' thing is difficult for me, and being true to what I want.. well... it's easy to give into what you want right now, but harder to work past that to what you want for your future.

Anyway, I'm at my Mom and Dads right now, spending the day with my Mom and then heading back home tonight. While I did eat horribly this weekend (eg. Mini Eggs, Bacon, Lots of bread, cake, chips, chocolate, hamburgers, etc. etc.) I did push myself to work out each day - heck, yesterday I even did the video twice. Here's hoping it curbed the gaining of weight just a little.. hopefully.. fingers crossed!! Eep.

Alright, well, hopefully you all had a good weekend, and for those of you who have today off as well I hope you enjoy the last day before going back to work. I know I'm going to.

I'll visit all your Blogs when I get home,
Becca ~

One more before I go...

Are you ready to deal with emotional issues? If not, keep your thoughts to yourself and listen and observe. Time is on your side, so don't let anyone pressure you into making a move you aren't sure you want to make. 2 stars

Common Horoscope... not more shitty 2 star days and enough with the emotional stuff! I know what it's talking about, and I get it. Leave it alone.. and don't touch the open wound for awhile. Fine, fine and fine. Time is on my side... can I just tell everyone how much I don't want to wait anymore.. how tired I am OF waiting and wasting time? Growl. Alright, I'm going to start my 2 Star day and make the best of it. Geeze.

Becca ~

Oh, one more thing, the damage I did during last weekend is repaired.. I'm back to the weight I was going into it.... just in time for this long Easter weekend.. ~laughs~

Gone for the weekend.

I'm going to be MIA for the next few days, I'm going to my parents/grandparents places for the weekend and wont be back until next week. So, it'll be quiet here until then.. but I wish you all a Happy Easter and good times with family and friends.

I'm going to keep this short only because I'm rather tired today, it's been a very long, busy day for me and I'm just about ready to call it a night here. I'm still working on getting fit, loosing weight, eating healthy, etc. etc. We'll see what happens after this weekend.. hopefully it wont be a disaster. Fingers crossed!!

So, I'm liking this Horoscope I've been reading, honestly, bang on for what like four days now?

If your actions might hurt someone's feelings, rethink your options. Be careful not to upset anyone you care about or the damage may be reversible. Emotional confusion is apparent, so don't make snap decisions. 2 stars

Anyway, have a good one and see you when I get back.

Yesterday / Today.

6:10pm Update:

I just finished doing my Walk Away the Pounds - 1 Mile exercise, for the 2nd time this week, and I'm glad I did it. I've also started using the weights just like I said I would - and damn is it harder. Heh. Here's hoping that come next week I'll be ready for the 2 Mile.. we will see, we will see.

In addition, I also put in extra effort for looking good yet again today for work - I can't remember how many days it's been in a row, I lost count, but people commented how nice I looked again today, which is nice. I really have Owen to thank for talking me into getting myself all 'pretty' in the morning, he said it had something to do with looking good, feeling good.. the impression you give off to other people - blahblahblah. ~winks~ Anyway, he really did talk me into putting in more effort, and I think, just maybe - it's working.

As for the Horoscope posted below, it was yesterdays - it appears that the Toronto Sun only updates their website midway through the day - so my Horoscope for today is:

You can make a difference to the people around you. Don't be afraid to try your hand at something that could potentially lead to greater income. Initially, you may find it difficult to change your lifestyle but, in the end, you will be grateful. 5 stars

Something that could potentially lead to a greater income, like maybe the job offer that may or may not be made from the response I got through email today?? I'm tellin you, this Horoscope is pretty much bang on lately. Also, the last part about changing my lifestyle, well, anyone who has been talking to me in the last month or so knows what that's prolly about. I'll talk about that later on maybe.. we'll see.

Anyway, I need to make myself some dinner,
Have a wonderful night everyone - and I'll try to stop by your Blogs later tonight.

Becca ~
------------- End of Update.

Horoscope:

You will have a chance to make some money, settle a claim or collect a debt. Someone you have been involved with will try to involve you in something that you should probably avoid. Stick to friends and family you know you can trust. 5 stars

That was my horoscope from yesterday, they still haven't changed it for today - but I guess most of it is somewhat true. I'm not sure what the something I should avoid was... and I only talked to friends/family that I could trust yesterday for the most part. Anyway, the money thing will hopefully be with my condo. Twit emailed me late last night and said I should call her about my closing date and also the refund for the water troubles at the beginning. There was another thing that happened, but I'm not going to post about it just in case - let just say it has to do with someone I like to call - McScrumptious. Heh.

I'm up a few pounds.. which pisses me off. But, I have no one to blame but myself. It means of course, now I have to work even harder this month.. agh.. I hate when the reason you have to put in MORE effort is because of your own faults, what a pain. I did however do my walking video last night, WITH the weights.. it wasn't so bad.. definitely a workout. There was only one arm movement I couldn't do entire set for - but common! I tried. AND I'm using 3lbs weights, not 2lbs. So, that's also making a difference.

Ok, I have to get ready for work and iron my dress pants this morning,
Have a good day everyone.

April showers, bring May flowers.

10:00pm Update:
Hey all, ok, I'm sure most have you have seen this already... but honestly? I hadn't until I stopped by 'Girls That Eat Pizza' Blog and found it on there since she posted it awhile ago. Anyway, click on the link below to watch a little video:

Ok, I'm all over this. I'm so sick of these stupid sizes out there.. and that they don't make nice looking clothes for people over a size 12! What the Hell people?! Sure, I'm overweight, currently I'm somewhere around a size 18 - and you know what?! I want to look good, I want to feel good, and I want clothing that fits and makes both those things the best they can be! I can't tell you how many times I've bought clothing that has NO shape to it at all.. only because I couldn't find anything else. Really, do they think that a box shape shirt and unfitting jeans are going to make us look better? If I wanted to wear things with no style and no shape, I'd cut a hole out of the top of my bed sheet and wear it around town.. ok? Ok.

End of Update. ~winks~ Have a good night all.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It's raining out, kinda. It's sort of starting and then stopping again - oh well. Apparently it's going to be like that for most of the week, and then maybe even some snow on the weekend?! How about no. If there's a way to vote for the weather - I'm going to have to mark off the big 'no more snow this season' section because I don't feel like driving or walking through it any more. I'm not ready for the humid heat of Summer - how about just a cool dry sunny Spring.. you know, kinda like the Fall? Heh. One can dream, can't they?

Anyway, last night was a blast - my parents decided to come and visit on a whim and took me out for dinner - their treat. Honestly, they shouldn't have paid for me, but it was very sweet that they did and I really needed the time out. I have to say, after three flavoured Martinis I was feelin pretty good and forgetting about most of my worries. This place has like 50 kinds of martinis that they make.. and can I just say, the three I tried were all fantastic. I even managed to wear my red heeled boots the entire evening - I'm getting so comfy in them they're just like wearing any other kinda shoe.

I'm still at about the same weight today as I was yesterday.. same old, same old. I guess I should thank my lucky stars after what I ate/drank yesterday that I didn't gain the 4lbs back in one day! ~laughs~ Oh well, a girl has to splurge now and then.

My parents left about an hour ago, I'll be seeing them again this weekend and other family also since it's Easter and we're doing the dinner. (Nothing big, just a small get together.) Which means I have to drive from work for 2hrs on Thursday night. That drive always makes me so tired, but it does cut off wasted time in traveling home and leaving from here because it's about 2hrs from work, and 2hrs from home to get to where I'm going. Today I'm meeting up with Kathy to go see this chick who's doing our taxes for us. Kathy has used her for a few years now - this will be my first time and if she does a good job I'll use her again next year. Her rates are reasonable and frankly, I'd rather pay her the money then some dick from H&R Block. (Those jerks want to charge me $100+ to do my taxes!!!! Kiss my ass.) So, wish me luck. Because once she does my taxes it helps me figure out where I stand with my budget right now a little better.

Anyway, I guess I should go get myself all prettied up for the day,
Have a great one, and don't forget your umbrella today!

4lbs for March.

So, I started keeping track of my weight since March 13th until today, the last morning of March and I've dropped a total of 4lbs. It's definitely better than nothing - but still not as much as I would have liked. However, that's my own fault for not being more strict and allowing those slacking days to creep in every week. That's alright though, I'm determined to continue loosing the pounds and this month lets hope I at least double if not triple that amount. It's all about being focused and committed. I can do both those things... hopefully Easter wont throw me into a mess though - I guess I have all this week to loose as much as possible to prepare just in case. Heh.

So, emotionally these days I'm not doin so hot, but I manage. I am however really pushing myself each day to get dressed and done up as nice as possible so that it feeds my confidence and gets me noticed. I might actually drop by Dooleys this weekend - prolly not because I'm a chicken shit, but you never know.. I might manage to hit the bar alone, for the first time.. heh.

My Horoscope for today is:
Community events or volunteering to help an organization that interests you will all lead to meeting new people who can help you out in other ways. A partnership that forms will be better for you than you realize. A lifestyle change is apparent. 3 stars

It's funny, only because I've been thinking about doing some volunteer work but just not sure what to do. There are a few places I could check out, but I'm not sure what I would be good at, or what would be good for me. A crisis hot line might be a little much emotionally. Being a Big Sister also might be more than I should be taking on... I dunno.. anyone have any good ideas? Or even some good experiences they feel like sharing?

Maybe I'll update later today,
Becca~

No workout, but the pizza was great!

As you can see from my title, I didn't do the video workout last night, I didn't get home until after 8pm and my neighbour below me apparently doesn't like it when I work out while he/she is home. I think I might have to have a talk with them - though that's the last thing I'd like to do. Honestly, unless I'm working out at like 10pm, or for like hours, I think they should just suck it up. It's only a 20 minute workout and I don't knock on the floor to get them to shut up when they're making noise below me! Blah, whatever, I'm sure I'll figure it out.

So, I went out to dinner last night to the Cafe near my place, with my neighbor, and we had a pretty good time. The food was yummy, conversation was nice - until some kids sat down in the booth behind us and this one kid had this horrible cough! Honestly guys, it sounded like he had kennel cough and someone should be taking him to the vet. Yuk.

Alrightly, I should go get ready since I'm already running behind this morning. Oh! One last thing before I go. I bought these new 3" black shinny heels for myself and yesterday was the first time I wore them - I made it through have the day before I changed shoes, but it's progress for me - I've never worn heels like that ever before in my life. Damn are they sexy. ~laughs~ Or "shinny & pretty" as Andrew said. Hehe. Ok. I've gotta go.

Have a good day,
Becca.

Ooch, a little pain.

Today is day number three of me doing the Walk Away the Pounds Video - 1 Mile, and I'm feeling a little pulled muscle in my abs - now, honestly. That could also be because of my crazy hour of wacky dancing last night.. but either way, I'm feeling it today. Hopefully that's a good thing and means I'm actually accomplishing something.

Also, tonight my arms weren't AS sore as they have been during the workout, which was nice. I think I've decided to continue as I have been for this week and then next week I'll try introducing weights. I have three lb hand weights and instead of doing the movements the first time around I'll just hold them and do the walking. Then, the next day I'll if I'm able I'll try doing the arm movements also - just work my way up, ya know? I am hoping however that in two weeks I'll be ready to move onto the 2 Mile - has anyone else ever done these videos before?

Anyway, I think I'm doing alright with my eating, today I hope I didn't go over pnts or anything - but it's hard to know because of what I had.. I think I need to look up some pnts for things to get things straight before I make a mistake. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be down in weight.. every little bit helps. I'll be happy with .6lbs lost... please please please. ~crosses fingers~

Night all,

Walk Away the Pounds

So, I've stolen a tape from my Mom and Sister called 'Walk Away the Pounds' it's with Leslie Sansone and literally, it's an exercise video where you walk and do some other workouts while walking. I actually only tried it yesterday - but was surprised at how much it actually felt like it was working - and I even got my heart pumping and it really felt like I got a workout.

So, like I said, I stole the videos - there are actually three that come in the set, 1 Mile, 2 Miles and 3 Miles. I'm just sticking with the 1 Mile for now - I find my legs could prolly take more around the 2 Miles or so, but my arms just aren't ready for more of a work out (I'm weaker in my upper body) and therefore I figured if I did the 1 Mile for a week to two, then I would move onto the next tape when I felt ready and confident I wasn't going to like, pull something.

Also, it should be noted that the 1 Mile workout only takes 20 minutes to complete. So I suppose I'd have to dedicate about 40 minutes to the next one? I'm not sure about that - I'll let you guys know - I'm sure it all depends on the pace that is set during the video so it might not actually be a full 40 minutes. Originally I think Sarah mentioned this video - and I had always planned on checking it out but never got around to it. If anyone is looking to buy it, I believe my Mom purchased it at Coseco.

Anyway, my plan here is to try and do this video every day this week - if not, then I'll at least aim for every other day. I don't want to pull anything or over do it right off the bat since I really haven't been doing much exercising these days - but I would like to commit myself to actually being more active again - like I said, I'd like to loose 20lbs by July 1st and honestly, if I keep bouncing up and down two pounds that's just not going to cut it! That' right, from my weight on Friday morning (which was the lowest I've ever seen) to my weight this morning, I managed to gain 1.6lbs over a weekend of eating out and drinking coffee. Boo on me, but I'll try to fix it this week. I really need to re-focus. Soon I'm going to have to kick my own ass!

Hope everyone is doing well,
Becca ~

A new title?

Hey everyone, so, I'm still thinking about starting a new blog, and I'm gunna need a new title. My nickname 'Goobie' just isn't going to work for me anymore - for many reasons, which perhaps I'll get into at a later date - but not today.

I have no idea how I'm doing with my weight this weekend, prolly not well since I went to a Thai place yesterday afternoon, The Swiss last night and today for lunch we're going out for my Dad's Bday next week incase I don't see him. I guess I should run around the block or something to help things move along - but who has that kinda motivation layin around? Heh.

I would like to report that my Mom and Sister both agree that my curernt one pair of jeans I own should not be worn since they look like I have 'Elephant skin ass" meaning of course that the ass of my pants gets all baggy and hangs there.... apparently like elephant skin? So, my sister donated a pair of jeans that no longer fits her that's two sizes smaller - and granted, they are a bit snug for my liking, but I wore them all day without dying. So yay. I also managed to wear my red boots, that have heels, for the entire day - and trust me, it was a very busy day! So, that rocked, I'm hopfully on the path that will let me be comfy wearing heels all the time and I can start classing up my look a bit. ~winks~ I still need to go shopping badly, nothing fits, including my bra which REALLY needs to be replaced... agh, I hate bra shopping. It's just so.... I dunno, I always need help because I never know what I'm doing.

And finally, I'd like to say thanks to Mishy for hanging out last night with me - I so needed to get the hell out and just do whatever and it was fun (even if I was a bit of a downer). I can't wait for her to come up to my condo to visit and maybe we'll be adventurous and hit a bar or something? ~Laughs~ The movie we saw last night sucks - actually, it sucks more and more the longer I think about it. But it was still nice to go see a show, instead of sitting at home, dwelling on things alone. Ya know? So, thanks Mishy and I hope to see you again soon - yay for better weather!

I'm outtie,
Becca ~

Gasp! Two posts in the same week! Can you handle it?

It's me again, obviously.
I still haven't found a new layout, and frankly, I don't have much motivation to work on creating new pictures and such to doll it up - so for now, I'm just gunna use this little bloggy right here.

Not much is new... things are... well, they are.

I'm still hanging around the same weight, I'm hoping tomorrow maybe I'll be down just that little bit more, and then the same for the day after, and the day after that. Fingers crossed eh. All you can do is a little at a time. It's just hard when you take two steps forward and then three back, and then two forward, and one back. Takes a long time to get where you're going. ~winks~ I really have to start pushing though if I want to loose the 20lbs before my sisters wedding on July 1st. Send some motivation my way - please!!!

I guess that's all I have to say right now. Unless of course, I wanna talk about my new craving - I'm talking food, clearly. ~motions to above post~ There's this place called the Pita Factory close to where I work (and also here in town) that makes these Pita Wraps that are TO DIE FOR. They really aren't that bad for you either. I mean, they put a chicken breast in that's grilled. And then you get to choose everything else they put in the pita, so it's up to you how good or bad it's going to be for you. My very fav Pita is:
Grilled Chicken, lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, cucumber (MAYBE a touch of cheese if I'm in the mood) and this sweet chili sauce that's perfect! I doubt the sauce is many pnts either, since it's not creamy like a mayo, or honey dijon, which, FYI are also fantastic. I've been craving these things daily, in the past two weeks or so I've had FOUR of them - they're so good, and sooo filling. Honestly, they are way better for you than like a burger or something... it's not that bad, right? Otherwise that would mean I'm lying to myself and shouldn't be eating them.... ~pouts~

I'm also on a salad kick, with lots of other stuff mixed into the salad.. mmmm.. veggies with nuts and everything else... ~drools~ Alright alright, I'm going to bed.

Night everyone, sweet chili dreams!! Hehe.

Monday, March 19, 2007

Alright Mishy! Just for you.

This post is for Mishy, because she requested that I post something - anything I believe. I don't have much to say, I think I might change up my Blog - maybe a new layout or something, a fresh start. I'm bored with the computer and pretty much everything in my life right now.

Still struggling to loose the weight. I'm down 10lbs since I moved in the Fall, but that's not saying much since I should be down about double that if not more. I need to get back on track, but it's a struggle since I bounce back and forth between the same few pounds for weeks.

I think that's everything I have to talk about, right now I'm just trying to keep my mind from working too much so I'm cleaning - literally since I stepped in the door after work tonight. I'm getting tired and hungry now though. A bit more cleaning and I'll make myself dinner and then try to motivate myself to clean up my resume. I need to go get some faxing and such done at Staples.. and I need to buy food... someone, lend me some motivation please!!?

P.S. Mishy, I might be coming 'home' this weekend - feel like maybe gettin together and chillin?

Chain emails aren't so bad...

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Just a little post?

Hey everyone.
No idea why I'm doing a post today - since I have nothing new to say really. Yesterday I met with my Mortgage guy and we signed some papers and chatted - so hopefully the Closing Date is not far off. I had a fairly good work day yesterday - minus the usual bullshit from co-workers. I surpassed my quota which rocked, it's hard to do but in the morning I was determined to make goal - so yay on me. I'm sucking horribly with the pnt counting and even staying OP. I haven't gained - thank god! But, I'm not loosing either, and I'd really like to loose. Anyone have any advice on how to get back on track? I mean well, and for a few days I even manage to do it.. and then along comes a day when I completely blow it. I don't feel as in control as I did this time last year - wish I would have known the secret back then that kept me motivated, but it remains a mystery.

Advice needed ladies and gents. I know you all have your own struggles, but if you have any ideas to share that would be fantastic!

Miss you all, I'll visit your Blogs (I do this anyway, I just don't have time to leave messages all the time.) as soon as I have a chance.

I so need to update more often!

Geeze, again a large gap between posts, boo on me.
So, I came "Home" for the weekend, actually, I drove home after work on Thursday, which my Mom loved. That way she gets to see me longer than just for a weekend. Originally the family was going to come to my place for Sunday, to go out for dinner for my Bday on Monday (aka Tomorrow - yuk) - But then I decided I'd come down to go to my old work and have my yearly review in person with my Boss and also help to train 3 of the new peeps they hired. While I was there, I suggested that they let me come in Monday and do one more day of training with them - My Boss jumped on the idea, and so I'm staying here until Monday. I have to admit, I feel very guilty since my poor fish are without food for like.. 4 days - I don't even know if they can live that long without it? I really should have planned this better. But honestly, I thought I'd be home by now.... bad me. Bad. I'll feel horrible if they die, so fingers crossed that they don't.

I met Mishy at the Mall today for a kinda brunch thing where we went to this new bakery and then skipped over to the Starbucks to pick up some coffee - it was so good, yum yum. Then we scouted the Mall for about 2hrs or so, checking out stores and pretty things like necklaces, earrings and the such. I ended up buying two shirts, the same style just different colours since they were 2/$25 - which I thought was pretty sweet. PLUS guess what????! They were from Ricki's - a regular sized store - my first pieces of clothing from a reg. store in like.. well.. since as long as I can remember. I mean, maybe when I was a kid I could have shopped there, but not since then. I'm so excited! I just want to loose another 20+lbs before I'll be even more free to shop at places like that - so exciting for me. Maybe it will motivate me to try harder and get back on track. Honestly, the only thing that sucks about where I live is being so far from my Friends and Family, I really miss them. Thanks for comin out with me today Mish - hope to see you in a couple weeks or so again and you HAVE to tell me how those breads you got taste once you've tried them.

Tonight my Dad, Mom, Sister and I are going out to dinner at The Keg - it's to celebrate my Bday (22nd) and my Mom's Bday (16th). I've been kinda craving a really good steak, so hopefully they will deliver - mmm. Yummy food. My Mom & Dad got me the Eragon Book Series which I've been dying to read and they also got me some decorative boxes to store stuff in and put up atop my kitchen cabinets. I can't wait to get them home and see what they look like. My sister bought me a lovely silver/glass food scale - I had seen one about a month ago and wanted it since it matches other stuff in my place (and the white plastic one I did have just didn't go with the rest of my things.) so it's perfect. She also bought me the movie "Ghost and the Darkness" on DVD. We used to own it on VHS but somehow lost it - and for some reason, although the movie isn't anything special I just really like it. I've seen it I bet 20+ times. So that was a nice surprise.

Alright, I'm just rambling so I'm going to get going. Hope you are all doing well and staying on track better than I am. Miss you all, talk to you soon.

Mmmmmmmmmmm tea.

I'm crazy about tea, for those of you who I haven't yet told.
I mean, it's becoming crazy, I now have in my kitchen cabinet five kinds of tea, and, for those of you who also enjoy a good, hot, cup of relaxing tea after a very, very long day I thought I'd share!

Lipton South African Red - This tea was actually introduced to me by my Mother, she bought it for me on a whim to try after I moved out. Although, short of regular Tetley Orange Pekoe I really hadn't been interested up to this point in other flavours of tea. But, I thought, hey, why not. So I gave it a shot and LOVED IT. It was fantastic, I just really enjoyed the taste, and the smell of this tea. It was different from my regular cups of tea and to tell you the truth, it was time for a change. (I also got Mishy hooked on this tea after I served her a glass here at my condo, so she can be the second vote that it's worth trying.) Just so you know, the description for the tea is as follows "A robust rooibos based tea blend with hints of spice and vanilla."

Next, I thought I'd branch out to another of Liptons teas - Sri Lankan Gold - this tea almost to me, tastes sweeter than the first one. I guess it's in some ways more mellow because it doesn't seem to have the spice to it - but it has like this strong flower taste to it or something. I enjoy it also, and have replaced the first box I emptied, which means to me it's worth having. "Delicate blend of Asian black teas with a medley of honey, vanilla and bergamot flavours."

Then I got really crazy, heh, I after enjoying a specialty Chai Tea several times at a local Cafe I happened across Liptons Spiced Chai (Flavoured Black Tea) and I have to say - yet another gem in my collection! It's the only one out of the other Liptons that I actually add milk to - but it's so yummy. It's almost like cinnamon tasting or something. Adding milk to it of course makes it a Latte, and according to the box apparently you can make like an iced tea out of it - not so sure about that, but maybe it would taste good? Anyway, this is a nice tea also to try and the description is "An exotic blend of savoury spices, rich Assam tea leaves and a hint of ginger."

Finally, Liptons Asian White tea. This is the newest one I decided to try, and to be honest I decided to try it because it was the last of the group of three that are considered "new" to their line. This one is fruity, so it's usually not something I'd go for. I had a cup the other night, and so far haven't had a chance for a second. If I'll buy another box of it still remains to be seen. It wasn't horrible, but I don't think it's one of my fav's so far - so I'll just wait and see if it grows on me more. "A refined blend of Asian teas with a apricot flavour."

Ok, well, that's it for now. I have nothing new to write about... except for tea... heh. So, this was overall a pretty dull post eh? If anyone feels like recommending a tea to me to try that would be fantastic! Mmm.. tea. Take care everyone, and if you're stressing, take a moment to relax with a warm cup of tea and close your eyes, breathe in the scents wafting up from your mug and just let all the stress go . . . . .

Egg Soup.

I'm sitting here, enjoying a bowl of Liptons Chicken Noodle with scrambled eggs added in - to remind me of when I was a kid, and my aunt used to babysit and make this meal at lunch. It tastes not bad actually, and since it's 11am and I haven't eaten but woke up starving it is definately hitting the spot. Plus, it's really not that many points, I even if I eat the entire pot of food it'll only be about 4pnts for the soup, and 4pnts for the eggs, not bad. (Even more so since it's my lunch and breakfast.)

I've been doing alright with food lately, but again, it's not good enough to loose, just to maintain. I am however determined to get back on track, any second now, for sure. ~Laughs a bit~ Eh, I guess I'll have to push myself in the end.

Anyway, I guess that's all I have to say. Hope everyone is doing well, miss you all, and thanks for your comments on my previous post, hehe. Have a good Sunday everyone.

Oh my . . .

It took me like six tries to log into my account here because it's been too long, do you think that's a pretty good indication that I've been completely slacking off? (That, or you can judge by the fact I haven't posted in over a month - meh.)

Alright, so, I decided to go for a walk today - right? I'm in the old part of the city, where there are store fronts and everything on the main street that's actually called "Main Street" since once upon a long time ago it was prolly the only real street of interest in this town.
Anyway, to the right of the street there are more small stores, a Farmers Market (Which I love) and other such things. To the left, is the more... "run down" part of town if you will. I mean, it's only a small section, but it's clearly older and not taken care of.
So, it's like Noon here and I thought why not go for a stroll today. Since it's daylight, I have no problem wandering through this part of town. Evening would be a completely different story, I wouldn't dream of going alone - not that I think someone will actually attack me or anything - it's just, why give them the chance? Ya know? So I'm walking along, headed home at this point and a blue car with some guy in his 30s pulls up beside me and says something. I glance over at him, smile and continue walking, he says 'Hello' or something. Honestly, it was hard to hear him.. but I wasn't about to move over to the car to hear better so I just responded with a 'Hi'. He asks me where I'm going. At this moment, the smile on my face is out of pure amusement. Why you may ask? I felt for a moment as if I was in some kinda school special where they tell you not to talk to strangers. Was he going to offer me candy next? Continuing to walk I reply with "I'm going home." I guess you're supposed to follow that up by saying it's like just up the road, five seconds away or something, but I didn't. Trying to keep conversation to a minimal. So he goes, 'Want a ride?' I swear to you, I thought, are you kidding? I wanted to stop walking, turn to him and ask him if he was serious - did he honestly believe I'd be like "Sure would!" and jump into his car for a ride home? So I laughed, shook my head and replied with a "No, thanks." I figure, this is enough, as I turn onto the next street to continue home.
However, he feels the need to try again? At this point now, as his car turns and follows me up the road (we're in a residential area) I think.. alright buddy, in five seconds it's not going to be so friendly a conversation. He drives past me a bit, asks me again if I"m sure I don't want a ride to which I reply, 'Oh, I'm sure.' and he smiles says something I didn't hear and drives off.
Now, I wasn't really worried at any point in time, mostly amused at the entire situation - but the sad part about the entire story is that I almost enjoyed being noticed... if it was because he expected me to jump into his car and give him a blow job or if it was because he wanted to kidnap me, either way - it's nice to be noticed. ~laughs~ Just when you never thought something like that would happen to you, looky looky, thank goodness he didn't have candy though, otherwise my choice mighta been harder! ~winks~
(P.S. Mishy, I totally found a place to pick up just your kinda guy! Hehehehe.)

Ok, on a different note, I've been doing alright with my weight. I haven't been loosing, but I've been maintaining with relative ease. (Which, is amazing for me.) I'd like to now get back on track and loose another 30lbs or so to begin with. I didn't reach the goal I wanted, since I had wanted to loose these 30lbs before my Bday on the 22nd, but oh well. It's a new year, and I'm about 60lbs lighter than I was a year ago today. So that's definately something to be proud of.

I'm going to get going now, but I'll definately try to visit peoples blogs in the near future, and I'll also try to update more often. I need to get back into the point counting in the near future as well. Ok, miss you all, huggles all around and I'll talk to you all soon!

It's only Tuesday, eh?

Well, it's Tuesday, and it feels more like Thursday. Its been a very rough morning for me, stressful, irritating...things at work are just not going very smoothly - it's not the office where I moved or anyone there, it's actually about changes and such that are occuring. Anyway, the day is half over - I hope the rest goes quickly. Tonight is the big meeting with the condo people, we're getting together to talk about the water issues - and I have to tell you, I'm not really up to the task today. I'd really like to go home, have a tea, and go to sleep.

I'm not doing great on pnts either, I guessed at the pnt value for my dinner last night, so it might have been more than that, who knows... and today I don't care.
